I had to take Spikey to the vet today. He has a little growth on his nose. The vet thinks it is very likely be a recurrence of a benign tumour he had some years ago. He will go in to have it removed next Thursday and the offending item sent for a biopsy.
It is nothing to worry about.
Only I am worried to pieces.
Spikey is very dear to Herrad and me.

Hi Richie! Spencer had a black tumour on his back leg when he was a pup, they removed it and it grew back. Removed again, had a biopsy, it was not malignant. It's since grown back so we just left it; and he's going to be 14 years old this year in spectacular health. Maybe it's just a canine freckle? I hope Spikey is going to be okay!!!

Spike - I know you're a little scared. Doctors' offices smell funny. But you are going to be just fine. Having that growth removed will make you look years younger, and quite the bitches' pup.
Now go give your mum and dad a bit of a snuggle.
